Lesson 24 - modal verbs

English Transliteration Hebrew

English Transliteration Hebrew
I need to study tonight. a-ni tsa-rikh lil-mod ha-e-rev. אני צריך ללמוד הערב.
We must leave now. a-nakh-nu mukh-ra-khim la-le-khet akh-shav. אנחנו מוכרחים ללכת עכשיו.
There's a problem at work and I have to go back.yesh be-a-ya ba-a-vo-da ve-a-ni kha-yav lakh-zor. יש בעיה בעבודה ואני חיב לחזור.
Can Dana come out and play? da-na ye-kho-la la-tset le-sa-khek? דנה יכולה לצאת לשחק?
He's likely to agree to these terms. hu a-su-i le-ka-bel et ha-tna-im. הוא עשוי לקבל את התנאים.
The chicken could burn if left in the oven too long.ha-of a-lul le-hi-sa-ref im yi-sha-er ba-ta-nur zman rav mi-dai. העוף עלול להישרף אם ישאר בתנור זמן רב מדי.

I'm getting ready for the big game. a-ni mit-ko-nen la-mis-khak ha-ga-dol. אני מתכונן למשחק הגדול.
I intend to apply for jobs at fifteen companies.a-ni mit-ka-ven le-ha-gish mo-a-ma-dut le-mis-ra be-kha-mesh e-sre kha-va-rot. אני מתכוון להגיש מועמדות למשרה בחמש עשרה חברות.
She's planning to apply for jobs next month. hi me-takh-ne-net le-ha-gish mo-a-ma-dut le-mis-rot ba-kho-desh ha-ba. היא מתכננת להגיש מועמדות למשרות בחודש הבא.
